Maxine's National Costume and Gown For Miss Universe!
Everyone is excited for Miss Universe 2017 that will be held at Mall of Asia, Philippines on January 30, 2017. The event will be hosted by Steve Harvey and a surprise female co-host will surely complete the stage with a bang.
It is also the third time that Philippines will host the said pageant as it gives a grand victory and farewell walk for Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach. It is also a game of suspense for Filipinos if Maxine will give a back-to-back record win for the country.
As of December 23, 2016 the Binibining Pilipinas Organization finally choose a national costume and final gown of Maxine created by Filipino designers.
The National Costume
The national costume inspired in Sampaguita was created by Amor Albano from Laoag City.
The Gown for Finals
Team Almodal is the gown maker of Maxine for Miss Universe. The red gown will be used for preliminary competition. This red gown is not final yet since it was worn by a candidate of Miss Universe Uk. Almodal said they will make a new red velvet gown for Maxine and similar to this red gown.
The white/gray mermaid gown is a win for finals according to Binibining Pilipinas Team. Almodal also said they will make sure it will not be a bridal gown look or couture gown, until they choose to have this gown for the crown.
Will it be an upgrade or downgrade for Philippines to fight for the crown?
